BanaBaka Creations - Dolls, Softies and Handicrafts

The name "BanaBaka" comes from my mother tongue, Sesotho - a language of Lesotho and South Africa, and it means "my children". I had been working on my Mondie Dolls and as I looked them all lined up in a row on my dressing table, I thought, 'Oh, look at all my little girls.' But most importantly, the name signifies the LOVE and ENCOURAGEMENT and INSPIRATION that my children give me in all that I do.

About Me

BanaBaka Creations: I am a mother of four wonderful children. I've been blessed enough to be able to stay at home to raise my children, study (a bit) and create (to my heart's content!). I love hand sewing and at the moment at developing my quilt making and soft toy making skills. Recently, I discovered and fell in love with polymer clay, and am currently working on a series of mermaid sculptures, which I'm absolutely enjoying. I hope you like them too :-)
