New Mermaids, New style of Tail!!!

My love affair with mermaids continues. I don't even know how it began. Well, I kind of do... it originally arose from laziness
(a tail is so much easier and so much more magical than a pair of legs!)
But now I just love mermaids because they're mermaids.

Check out the new tail designs!
Hey, I don't know if you've even seen my old ones. Have to get onto that asap.
This tail pattern was hand sewn by my talented friend, Melody Tallon of Artefacts Jewellery Design

This is the pattern I originally started with but the stretchy fabric wouldn't hold its shape as I tried to the do the free flow stitching on the sewing machine. I am now going to hand sew the way Melody did for me.

The Babushka Door Stops are finally here!

At my market stalls people would often pick up my Mondie Dolls (Babushka Doll softies) and then look at me disappointedly, declaring, "Oh, I thought they were doorstops!"

It happened so much that I considered collecting a dollar for each time someone said that to me. So eventually, I decided to give it a go. So here are 5 of the 6 I have made so far. Of course, at the market yesterday, many people said "Oh look that those gorgeous stops!"... but nobody bought any!

I won't be posting these on my MadeIt.com page because the postage costs would be inhibitive. But if you're local and you're interested in one, please drop me a line. They are AUD25.00 each.
Thank you!
